Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LowBaller ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, market scans, deal library, lead lists, and subscription services (the "Service"). It covers two groups of people: our visitors and members, and the property owners whose public-record information appears in the Service (Section 3). The Service is offered to real-estate professionals in the United States. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Service.

• Contact and account information: your email address; if you create an account, your login (passwords are handled and stored in hashed form by our authentication provider); and the email addresses of teammates you invite.
• Search and unlock activity: the places and ZIP codes you search, the filters you use, the properties you unlock, the deals you track, and the lists you export.
• Payment information: processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and subscription status but never see or store your full card number.
• Approximate location: our hosting provider tells us the country, state, and city your connection appears to come from, based on your IP address. We use the state to show you deals near you first. We do not store it when you browse; when you submit your email, we store the approximate city, state, and country of that request with it.
• Usage and device information: pages visited, steps of our sign-up flow you reach, browser type, and your IP address, which we also use to prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.

The property and owner information in the Service is compiled from public records and commercially licensed data providers, such as county assessor and recorder data, foreclosure and tax-lien filings, vacancy and ownership signals, and contact-data (skip-trace) providers, together with estimates and motivation scores generated by our models.

What members see. A paying member who unlocks a property receives its exact address and the owner's name, mailing address, phone numbers (filtered against Do-Not-Call lists), email addresses, and ownership and mortgage details. To find them, we send the property address and owner name to our contact-data provider at the moment of the unlock.

What anyone can see. Our deal library and example pages show a limited preview of properties: the city, ZIP code, property type, number of bedrooms, distress signals (for example, an auction date, unpaid property taxes, or a vacancy), an estimated value, and our scores. Previews never show the owner's name or contact details, the exact street address, or a photo of the house. Some of our public property pages show a street address together with public-record signals; they also never show the owner's name or contact details.

The deal library. When a member searches, we keep the property records returned and reuse them to answer later searches, to show the public previews described above, and to rank properties by member interest using aggregated counts of how often a property appears in searches or is unlocked. Those counts never identify the members involved. The library does not store owner names, contact details, or street addresses. To honor removal requests, it keeps a one-way, keyed hash of the address. A property appears in the library for 30 days after a member's search last returned it.

Removal requests. If you own a property shown on LowBaller, you can request removal at lowballer.app/remove-my-info. Matching entries are removed from our public pages and deal library right away, and we keep a hashed record of the address so it stays out of them in the future. To ask us to stop including your information in lists we generate for members, or to know whether your information appears in the Service, email privacy@lowballer.app. Much of this information originates from public records maintained by government agencies, which we do not control.

LowBaller is not a consumer reporting agency and this information is not a consumer report under the FCRA. It may not be used for credit, insurance, employment, tenant screening, or any other FCRA-covered purpose. See our Terms of Service for the full restrictions and members' outreach obligations.

• to deliver your scans, searches, unlocks, lists, and exports;
• to process payments and manage your subscription and team;
• to show you deals near you first, using your approximate location;
• to build and rank the deal library, including aggregated counts of member searches and unlocks that never identify you;
• to send access details and Service updates, and, if you opt in, marketing emails (you can unsubscribe anytime);
• to measure and improve our advertising (Section 5);
• to operate, secure, and improve the Service, and to prevent abuse;
• to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your account information. Other users never see what you searched for or unlocked. We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the Service:

• Stripe (payment processing);
• property and contact-data providers (public records, property data, and skip tracing);
• Supabase (database and account login);
• Netlify (website hosting);
• Resend (transactional and, where you opt in, marketing email).

Advertising. We use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API and the Google Ads tag to measure and improve our ads. They receive information such as the pages you visit on LowBaller, events such as a scan, sign-up, or purchase, cookie and ad-click identifiers, and your IP address and browser. Meta also receives one-way hashed versions of your email address, a random ID for your browser and account, your approximate city, state and country, and, when you pay, the name, phone number and billing ZIP code on your payment method. Under some state privacy laws, including California's, this may be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To opt out, email privacy@lowballer.app with the subject "Do not share". You can also limit these tools through your browser's cookie settings and your Meta and Google ad settings.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer.

• Your recent scan is stored in your browser's local storage so you can return to it; you can remove it by clearing your browser data for this site.
• Account, unlock, email, and billing records are kept while your account is active and afterwards as long as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements.
• Deal library entries are shown for 30 days after a member's search last returned them. Hashed records of removal requests are kept so removed properties stay removed.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), and we limit the data we store in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Email: unsubscribe from marketing emails anytime using the link in the email.
• Local data: clear your browser storage for this site to delete your saved scan.
• Advertising: opt out of advertising sharing as described in Section 5.
• Access and deletion: email us to request a copy or deletion of the information we hold about you.
• Property owners: see Section 3 for removal requests.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. These rights also apply to property owners whose information appears in the Service. To exercise any right, email privacy@lowballer.app. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your account, or, for property owners, information that confirms ownership of the property.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email or in the Service where required.
